Cowgirls vs. Tampons
Tonight at 7:20 (or so) Central time on NBC. At least we can tune in to see Drew on the pre-game show at 6:00!
How do we not pull against the Yuks? As much as I despise the Cowgirls, I am tempted to wear blue and silver and "yeehaw" them to victory. |

No can do for me, AG. My hate for Dallas runs deep. Though I won’t root for Tampa either, just hope Dallas loses. Necessary evil |

Slow your role AG
you might pull a hammy or worst yet get busted for performance enhancing Drugs |
Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons
There’s no nfl team I hate enough to pull against when facing our division rivals. Especially Tampa. F**k the bucs, go cowgirls!

Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons
Tampon playing PI press defense again and getting caught this time .

Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons

Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons
Good for Brees.

Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons
This sport is fixed. Never will you convince me otherwise.

Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons
How in the hell Dallas don’t capitalize on all those Tampa turnovers?
Cows blew it again. |

There are, however, tons of games over time with officials' calls that as one source put it, "will boggle one's mind," but they are more incompetence than anything. Has there ever been fixing of pro sports? Absolutely, and it is impossible to keep it hidden and is eventually discovered. |
Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons

As for the Saints, the no call against the Rams was simply a total screw up by the officials and had nothing to do with fixing a game. An NFL game could not be fixed without several people being involved and there is no way with all of the money involved that everyone would keep their mouths shut. The gambling industry avoids anything that smells of impropriety like the plague as not reporting any concerns could cost them their license and billions of dollars. The NFL has FAR too much to lose to ever fix a game. That is a fact. |

My dislike for the Cowboys is particularly sharp, when I think of the good people of NWLA, who wear Black & Gold. I remember working near Natchitoches, and thinking "I must be the only Saints fan in Louisiana." |

I watched that game last night with a dozen other guys at a poker tourney, most of them Pats fans pulling for Brady. Every one laughed about the end admitting it was a blown call and bragged about how Brady always got those types of calls. To a man they agreed there was no way the refs were NOT going to give Tampa a chance to at least attempt a FG on the last drive. Holds against the D line weren’t called throughout that drive. It was as predictable as the outcome of fistfight between me and my 5 YO nephew. As I posted to start Guido, you (of all people) aren’t going to convince me it’s not rigged. Show me proof that these “blown calls” that happen at such crucial times aren’t fixes. You believe it Because the NFL says so. I don’t. |
Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons
Super early but Tampa's defense is suspect. They had 4 offensive turnovers yet still was able to win. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
Dallas blew an opportunity. Was hoping the game ended in a tie. |
Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons

As for the game last night, it's not a fix that the final drive was successful. Holding seldom gets called. Nor does OPI. That's not a fix, it's sorry officiating. Nothing more, nothing less. What does an official have to gain by purposely making bad calls? Nothing. What he has to lose is grading which could cost him his job. Refs have always swallowed their whistles in those situations. That doesn't mean anything is rigged. |

Tampa is tough against the run, but can be shredded by the pass. |

Yeah, right. I can understand why you were never on a debate team. I gave you extremely good reasons why fixing games in the NFL would never fly. Real reasons. You float out fairytale perceptions. You need more tin foil? You can get it bulk at Sam's Club. :D |

Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons
Dallas got even more problems ...
Michael Gallup (WR) has a calf strain and is out 3-5 weeks & now I see La'el Collins has been suspended by the NFL for 5 games without pay for violation of NFL substance abuse. A lot of angry folks up here in Deathstar Nation. |
Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons

If you think that was a PI that should have been called on tampa, like I do, the. the question is why it was not called. You say incompetence, I say designed. Neither has more validity than the other. Neither has more proof than the other. You are arrogant and incorrect when you compare your position to asserting the sky is blue. But haters gonna hate. |

La'el had so much promise coming out of LSU. Agile, powerful & quick. He's come into Oxnard camp on several occasions overweight & out of shape. I thought he'd be an All Pro by now :(. Glad he's Jerry/Stephen's problem and not ours. |
Re: Cowgirls vs. Tampons

The officials in the NFL are part time. The game moves fast. They are going to make mistakes. OPI is just one of those calls that is under enforced. There's nothing nefarious about that. I gave you several concrete reasons why fixing NFL games would be virtually impossible in today's world. |

Onyemata got hit by the PED version which carries an immediate six game suspension for what was likely a tainted supplement. Both are over the top, but the NFLPA signed off on it in the latest CBA. |

As I also pointed out, gambling authorities have divisions that do nothing but investigate possible improprieties including fixing of games. That's basically what brought down the referee scandal in the NBA several years ago. There is even a greater reason why it is impossible to get away with fixing games. Every official would have to be in on it. Everyone in the league office would have to be involved. Everyone would have to keep it secret. You know that is impossible. I understand the frustration, but it is not because the games are rigged. It is the officiating. Pure and simple. And I will readily admit THAT is on the NFL and could be addressed by fulltime officials and greater use of replay. |

Motive is not the issue. The issue IS that there is no way to get away with intentionally rigging NFL outcomes. It cannot be done without being exposed. |
