Longtime New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has chosen to retire after 22 seasons as a pro, as first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington on Saturday. The two-year Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend went 1-4 against the New Orleans Saints after coming to the NFC, with the black and gold frustrating him at every turn. He must have decided all those sacks and interceptions and fumbles taken by the Saints defense were enough to make him into a family man.

Brady retires with a -66 career regular season point differential to New Orleans, the worst of any team; the Kansas City Chiefs are a very distant runner-up at -11. Only two other teams, the Seattle Seahawks (-9) and Arizona Cardinals (-2), ever managed to hold him to a negative point differential.

Re: Tom Brady Retires!

Not surprised.
He put out a buzz last week or so.
It is time.
Professionally, records are made to be broken. Brady’s record will be too…one day…some day. Only thing is, a qb will have to be in there for as long as he was and for a qb to be lucky on one team for so long under a Belichek and with such a strong team.
Good luck to any future qb getting all of these components in order to break Bradys’ records.
Personally, Brady’s three kids are still very young. I do not think the eldest , a boy, is middle school yet.

All that, Brady made the games exciting. Professionally and personally, he presented himself mostly private, good reputation.

Timing is right to with TB.
First year with them, SB win and in their stadium.
This year, all the up in the playoffs.
Mission accomplushed.
Retire on a career high.

Now for NFC South- Saints, TBay, AtlF, CarolinaP. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFC_South

Even playing field at the bottom together, lol.

So Go and the rest of ‘em.
Come on draft2022

Re: Tom Brady Retires!

Brees should come out of retirement and reclaim his records

On another note, I think it was kind of insulting that he didn't mention the Patriots at all. Without them, he never was "TB12". He owes them a hell of a lot more than the Bucs.

He basically covered all of that when he left New England two years ago.

Then again ...

Re: Tom Brady Retires!

Going to be interesting to see how this impacts the QB market, wonder if Tampa Bay will try to get Winston back?

Would Winston even want to go back there?

I'm pretty sure that this will be Arians' last year on the sidelines with a c-pap machine slung over his shoulder.
