this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; I understand how much money sports teams bring to an area, but at some point a city is going to bankrupt itself trying to keep a team. And the league will just move it and go on to the next ...

I understand how much money sports teams bring to an area, but at some point a city is going to bankrupt itself trying to keep a team. And the league will just move it and go on to the next city looking to overpay.

I would venture to guess that the eventual economic impact to the state and/or city would easily outweigh any stadium investment. Any argument against the investment would be more with the principle of any public funding.
