I bet after CSP agreed with the Broncos that Fox really started twisting TB12's arm and made the retirement decision easier.

Heard several people this morning on NFL radio that know him very well (Charlie Weis, Matt Cassel, etc.) and they all said they have no doubt that he's truly retiring "for good" this time. The guy's not dumb. He knows how much his play has declined in the past season. Yeah, he still had some numbers, but his effectiveness has been depleted.

I finally got time to watch the video ... I guess at least Brady was self-aware enough to admit he borked the retirement decision/announcement last year. Favre never apologized for the drama and the fuss.
