The “Corn Dog” That Won It All For Kansas City

For 47 minutes Sunday night in Super Bowl LVII, Kansas City never led. Their quarterback re-sprained his right ankle just before halftime, and the Eagles led by 10 as Rihanna sung to the world, and though the momentum began to change in the third quarter, everything was a chore for the men of Andy Reid.

Then, with the ball at the Eagles’ five-yard line early in the fourth quarter, on third-and-three, Reid looked at his play sheet and called a play he loved.

“Corn Dog,” Reid said.

Seriously. That’s what the play was called.

Then they ran the same play to the other side later for another walk in TD.

Eagles have unstoppable QB sneak.
Chiefs have unstoppable man-beater near goalline.

Seems fair enough.

Yeah Nick, Olave & Shaheed could eat but you have to have a competent OC to pull it off. Pete Carmichael still calls plays like it's 2012 .

Andy Reid/Eric B are elite play callers.

No Mecole Hardeman (IR), no Clyde Edwards-Helaire (IR) no Tyreek Hill (traded '22)... no problem.

The chiefs are a solid franchise with solid coaching from top to bottom.
