I’d use him as a back up somewhere like Chicago or Philly because of their scheme.

Kudos to him for at least recognizing that his time as a starter is done. That's a hard fact for some guys to face.

Newton may irritate some of us, but he's not a dumb individual by any means. The list of QB's that he said he'd be willing to back-up are for the most part the same list of those most susceptible to injury because of their style of play. I believe he sees that as his most likely means to a starting role. I also don't believe he's wrong about that.

Maybe, but he's sharper than you may think. My wife always watches Jeopardy on the game show network and last night she yelled from the other room that Cam Newton was on. It was from a few years back. She said he was actually really good at both giving the clues and solving.
