He's simply doing the job that he was hired to do. It's the owners as a group that worship the almighty dollar. That's how they, or their family's all became wealthy enough to own a team.

I for one cannot get enough of the NFL. I believe that is probably the prevalent viewpoint of NFL fans today. The game has never been more popular and the fans are eating it up more than ever.

Goodell is "The Mouth Piece Of The Owners" The 31 NFL team owners are his boss, they hired him and he in turn does THEIR bidding. He happily suffers the slings and arrows of OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE ($40,000,000 a year )
You'd be lying if you said you would turn that amount down to do the same.
