Bucs lose Cadillac for rest of season
By The Associated Press
Published: Oct 2, 2007 Tampa Bay running back Carnell “Cadillac” Williams and tackle Luke Petitgout will miss the rest of the season with knee injuries sustained Sunday. Williams hurt his right knee when he was tackled by Carolina safety Chris Harris at the end of an 18-yard run during the first quarter of the 20-7 victory over the Panthers. Petitgout was hurt when defensive tackle Kris Jenkins fell into his right leg in the second quarter. “That’s a big blow. ... We have some people who need to step up,” coach Jon Gruden said Monday. Williams was the 2005 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and Tampa Bay’s leading rusher the past two seasons. Petitgout, a ninth-year pro who spent the first eight seasons of his career with the New York Giants, was signed to stabilize an offensive line featuring three starters in their first or second year in the NFL. Re: Bucs lose Cadillac for rest of season
The Petitgout loss is the most significant blow to the Bucs. They can overcome the loss of Caddy, but the loss of their starting LT is an entire different issue. Before Petitgout that staff was very weak. That 3-1 record could turn really quick in a hurry now. Good news for the Saints if they can get their crap together. Still, as much of a Saints fan as I am, I hate to see the Bucs lose these guys. I would rather have a chance to beat them at full strength.
There is one Bucs player I cannot stand. That is their little midget QB who runs all over the place, and acts VERY "happy". I could not stand him when he was with the 49ers, Browns, Eagles, and definitely not as a Buc. It would be my wish for a Saint, or any other team for that matter, to sack him 12 times and MAKE IT HURT! No, I do not want to ever see him really hurt, just knock the snot out of him. Make him cry. Now that would be funny to see him cry like a little baby. "I just didn't feel real crisp today"... |

Re: Bucs lose Cadillac for rest of season
There's been rumors of the Bucs trading for McKinnie and Moore of the Vikings.
