Re: Lost respect for the Vikings
They are mad about the pick in the first place. Look for him to be cut. I just talked with a friend out there and they expect a lot of mistakes to be gone next year. With the running game clicking the Vikings will be less reliant on the pass for scoring. They are a weird organization with Childless. Childless is old school to the extreme. He is not very respected as a person there. His rep as a player is about all dried up. He said "do not be shocked to see Childless gone in two years." The fans have had about enough of him. win or loss it doesn't matter. Sounds like haz and show me from the waist up, Ditka.

Re: Lost respect for the Vikings
I read that article this afternoon... I think that's truly a terrible act by the team.
I don't care who the player is, a person deserves a reasonable amount of time to take care of such issues. Now, if it was written in his contract that any time missed for family matters would be docked from his pay, then he agreed to it. Otherwise, give the man a little time to be with his family in such a situation as this. |

I saw that they finally did the right thing and gave him his money. I emailed them today telling them what a heartless thing they did.
