Feeling bad for Arthur Blank...

...I know, I know, Arthur Blank has more money than God, these are the Dirty Birds, and we should all be happy of their demise. After all, Atlanta is the Saints true rivalry. But I can't help it but feel bad for Arthur Blank. I think he's a great owner, who wants to make his team a winner and doesn't spare a dime in doing so. He's good with the fans, the players, the media... they have some quality people playing football for them, in Warrick Dunn, Keith Brooking, Alge Crumpler... but man, the way Blank has gotten stabbed in the back this season, that's gotta hurt. First Vick just lying to the man's face, and y'all know had Vick been honest, Blank would've done everything in his power to do right by Vick, then Petrino bailing out the way he did.

A lot of people are saying "Petrino went to Atlanta to coach Mike Vick" and excusing his bailing out because Vick is no longer there, but his title wasn't Mike Vick's Head Coach, or Quarterbacks Coach, it was The Atlanta Falcons Head Coach.

I echo that... he's a really good owner who cares for his players. He's not afraid to spend money to make his team better either. Oh well... that's just how the cookie crumbles.

Some guys are just too gullible for words. How could he ignore obvious evidence? Petrino's inability to hold to his word, then Mike Vick's ownership of the dog fighting facility? I don't feel sorry for people who won't do their due diligence, or ignore it if it's not convenient.

He's a solid guy, but the architect of his own demise.

....wants to make his team a winner and doesn't spare a dime in doing so
at the risk of sounding harsh to Arthur, the above notion is why the team is in disarray.

Woah, hold on a sec, there...

First, I doubt Arthur Blank is "gullible'. You don't get to the level of success Arthur Blank has experienced in life being gullible.

Second, what "obvious" evidence? That Vick had a house in his name in a VA suburb? No one outside Vick's circle knew about this. If you know someone for many years and one day someone accuses that person of some crime, do you immediately assume he's guilty? How many players in the NFL do you think have multiple houses in their names which they give to their family members?

I can't feel sorry for the Falcon's. Everytime I try I hear this voice in my head "DESTROY ATLANTA... DESTROY ATLANTA..." It's like something born and branded in my brain.

With that said I will say I sympathize with the unfortunate circumstances and I wish them well in the future so long as that means yielding to our Boys from now and every game in the future!!

Yeah I really feel sorry for the billionaire owner of Home Depot.

I started shopping at Lowes when I found out he owned the Falcons years ago.

Go Saints. Falcons Suck!

Re: Feeling bad for Arthur Blank...

I agree that he has had a bad year. Both men treated him badly. Both men lied to him. Where I have a problem is when he said he would support Vick coming back to the NFL. This guy will never change whether in prison or not. He's not sorry to this day, the only thing he's sorry about is losing his money. As far as Pitrino goes, he's just sorry.
