Plaxico Burress is now serving his 2-year sentence for his weapons charge when he went to a nightclub and accidentally shot himself. On the day he started his sentence I thought up the old Johnny Cash song "Folsom Prison Blues". And this is what I came up with...

FEDERAL PRISON BLUES

I hear the season's comin', It's rollin' 'round the bend
And I ain't seen the endzone since I don't know when
But I'm stuck in Rikers Island, time keeps draggin' on
When the referee's whistle is blowin' I feel so alone

When I was just a baby, my mamma told me, "Son,
Always be a good boy and don't ever play with guns"
So I shot myself at a nightclub, blood was pourin' through
When the '08 season ended, I got cut by "Big Blue"

Ex-teammates playin' Dallas and I'm feelin' very dumb
I watched them crash the party at Cowboys Stadium
See I knew I had it comin', I know I can't be free
Antonio Pierce had went on Twitter just to heckle me

The Steelers didn't want me, The Giants had me cut
I woulda sign with the Lions even though they suck
But when I get out of prison I'll be on a team
