Warner heading toward retirement?
Cardinals QB Kurt Warner appeared on NFL GameDay Morning on Sunday and said he wouldn’t make “an emotional decision” when it comes to retirement, amid speculation and reports that this will be his final season.
In other words, don’t expect a quick decision from Warner about his playing future after the Cardinals’ season ends. “I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do moving forward,” Warner said in a pre-taped interview. “But there are days where you think, ‘I don’t want to play anymore.’ There are other days where you think, ‘I can still play.’ And I am playing at a high level. So you never want to make an emotional decision and a career decision like that in the middle of a lot of stuff going on. “We are going see how the season finishes up, how the playoffs go, because those things can always change your mind. And winning a Super Bowl could definitely influence it one way or the other.” Darren Urban wrote on the Cardinals’ official team site that Warner became more “introspective” after sustaining a concussion earlier this season. Warner considered retirement after leading the Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII last season, but he eventually signed a two-year contract — a contract that Urban said Warner indicated that he wanted to see through to the end. |

Re: Warner heading toward retirement?
This is outstanding news. just perfect. The only better distraction would be some club incident, or a bust involving self-emplyoyed models, neither of which I wish on anyone.
But this is the next-best thing, I think. Working on a short week against us, and Warner's head is busy playing The Brett Favre Game. Let them be distracted. |
