Get Peppers

I think the Saints could get Julius Peppers here by merely using some of their cunning. The Saints might be able to get him by offering less money than anyone else, but promising to let him play part time wide receiver. He's as fast as or faster than most receivers.
A year ago he balked at returning to the Panthers because of no chance of realizing his potential. He never really said what that meant. It was said he wanted to play linebacker in a 3-4. Maybe he doesn't know that he wants to play some offense.
In 2003 or 2004 he was used a few times as a reciever. But that was with the Panther's sandlot type of preparation. The Saints coaches would be able to do wonders with this.

That would be SWEET and a big boost to get Peppers but I'm sure we won't even pursue him simply because he's looking to be the HIGHEST paid defensive player and we have other obligations like resigning some of our F.A's

I was wondering if it would be possible to trade a pick for Adalius Thomas. Ï watch every Pats gamme, and think he'd be happier here in our blizting D. Something he has complained about in NE . We could then draft a DT or DE first. Ïm still a bit fuzzy on the trade rules for the Saints this season.

he would be a grate addition but unless we free up some money I don't see it happening
I say this because we have a few contracts to tie up ourselves before we can look at someone with that high of a ticket price

But then again who knows
Benson and Co might make it happen
After the Season we had anything is truly possible
