this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; NFL.com news: Bills LB Merriman limps off during first practice I know there was some discussion about us picking him up, looks like it was a good idea not to do so.......

Shawn Merriman has always had injury problems his whole career. The Bills taking a chance on him was like fighting fire with fire in my opinion.
