Football in the NFL is not a war of speed but a war of attrition. It seems we (hopefully) got our injuries for the most part out of the way in the beginning of the season... Atlanta is one of the few teams i have heard injury issues with this year. There are still 4 weeks of football before we face them again. Their meat and potatoes players are Gonzales, Turner, and Ryan.. With not a whole lot of talented depth behind those key players.... I would never wish for an injury to any player (I am not that nice of a guy, I just do not want to hear excuses after we beat them about who was out).... However if any of those players were to get hurt, I think they would be fairly crippled.. Look at the Colts, some key non injury prone players got hurt and they are not fairing well. First task, which is not going to be an easy one, is to beat them in their home...Matt Ryan is 19-1 at home and they have not lost a home game since WE gave them a big old L last December 13th! |

The failcons are playing good ball right now. However, if we play to our full potential I think we can beat them. Our D needs to tighten up though. At times it seems we have some problems getting the other teams O off the field.

If our run Defense lets Turner chunk out rushing yards, or Gonzalez catch the short routes we are going to have a problem keeping them off the field.
Our D needs to tighten up.... Contain the inside and force them to go long. That way Sharper can pick-em like ripe apples. |
