Bucs lose Benn for the season
From profootballtalk.com
The 9-6 Bucs have a difficult path to the playoffs, even if they win next week in New Orleans. That path got a little tougher Monday after the team placed rookie receiver Arrelious Benn on injured reserve with ligament damage in his knee, the team announced. Tampa’s second round pick was hurt in Sunday’s win over the Seahawks. Benn has started the majority of games for the Bucs since earning more playing time after the team’s Week 4 bye. The Bucs have lost seven starters to injured reserve in the last month alone. Even if they don’t make the playoffs, the team’s fanbase has to be enthused about their future. Benn and fellow rookie Mike Williams figure to be starting opposite one another for the next few years, just like G.M. Mark Dominik envisioned This team has been beat up all year. Makes it a easier win week 17. |
