Earl Campell
I was bored at work and was on you tube looking at some running backs and have to say Earl Campell was a damn beast but the Oilers ran his a$$ in the ground. The news in Houston did a small article on him and the guy can't even walk. This is why the NFL need to take care of there former player. He's doing good money rise I think he has his on brand of sausage. |

I remember all of that, and simple as that, Earl in his prime was the best
RB there ever was, IMO. Most surprising is his humility. He's unbelievably nice, and down to earth. Thats a good case, Luda, for how the NFL needs to make sure it takes care of the old players, or at least teaches & enables players to adequately plan and save for their retirement. Earl's not broke, by any means, but he did need someone to step in and tell him it was time to slow down earlier. I do wonder if he suffers from some syndromatic condition, not yet known to doctors, which causes premature aging. Great player, great person, worst tv commercial actor you ever saw. You loved him anyway. always smiling. Earl's got a great brand of sausage for sale, and I can tell you its outstanding. get the SPICY! |

I was at the Saints/Titans pre-season game, and there were some
moments when Ivory had his head down and was just chuggin' like a TANK through some of those Titans-- the name "Earl Campbell" popped into my head. |

I loved to watch him run. He was the best. If you guys remember, you knew he was going to run over everybody just because of the size of his thighs. He had the strongest legs. He was a frikkin freight train.

I wonder what Campbell thinks of old Bum now that he can't walk? |

I know Earl lived on Bum's ranch for many years after football. I don't know if he still does or not but Earl and Bum were like Father & Son, and my guess is they still are.
