I have noticed it back in the 80's with the jersey companies (Champion, Russell, Bike, which was no big deal up until recently). Now it has spilled over into stadiums. John Facenda and Harry Kalas are both banging their heads in their graves if the were alive to even spit a verse about "Qualcomm", "Heinz", "Overstock.com", "Mall of America" (which should be called "Jiffy Pop Dome") or any other corporate named stadium being called the "Epic Battle in the Trenches". ![]() ![]() |
