Shockey very well wants to be apart of the game especially after Payton said he was his favorite player of the week or something to that affect.

I sure hope he can play because with your secondary, we need all the veterans on offense that we can throw at the Saints.

I heard someone say that Shockey had a negative comment when asked about Payton saying that he was one of his faves. He said something to the effect of, "If I were one of his favorites, then why did he get rid of me?"

Again, this wasn't anything I read, but I heard he said it...

Because your best days are behind you & even though SP may like you as a person football is a business & you were a liability & expense the Saints did not need.

Plus if we had kept Shockey around, we'd be just holding Jimmy "The Beast" Graham down.

That kid has played better this year then Shockey ever did in a Saints jersey...
