this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; good game for us- Pack showed that they are certainly vulnerable, but the NYG loss helps us more PO wise Bears, Falcons, Cowboys and Giants all helped, actually I predict the January Carolina is meaningless...

Would have been great if the 49ers would have lost. Would trade the falcons loss for 49er loss. Anyway, fun Saints game to watch last night.

Looking at the players' body language and facial expressions and stuff like that, I thought the Packers looked sorta tired and frustrated yesterday. They gave off all these little hints that reminded me of stuff we saw with the Saints last year. It was a rough day at the office for the champs. I got a feeling they are going to run out of gas pretty soon -- one day they will find themselves behind in a game and there's just nothing left in the tank.

Yea I got almost everything I wanted, an Atlanta loss, and Saints' win, which put us up 2 games, and gave a little padding, and made it possible, though not likely the SF 49ers could still be caught. Have you seen their schedule? Their biggest problem is when they finally start playing teams in the playoff, they won't have had good competition.
The Giants' game was great too, as they almost won against GB--goes to show you what playing against good competition can do for you, even if you lose!! So 38-35 against GB, is nothing to be ashamed of--and I feel sorry for Dallas next week, after they have played the two best teams in the league. I remember after the Rams loss, how people were whining "Oh how will they win, if they can't beat the Rams." I told you guys they always play down to the competition in games they don't necessarily need to win. Call it a weird quirk, or the result of perhaps a little much needed relaxation during weeks of practice leading into the games. But I wasn't worried, as we've seen this for the last few years. |
