Cool Bucs suck so bad they can't even fire their coach!!

ESPN's John Clayton reported Thursday that Morris was to be fired by the Buccaneers this past Monday, according to a tweet from the St. Petersburg Times.

Morris was retained, however, for a peculiar reason, according to the tweet: The Bucs' coaching staff wasn't "big enough" to function without Morris and lacked a suitable interim candidate.

NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported that Morris, whose Bucs are 4-9 and riding a seven-game losing streak, is under review and in danger of being fired. He'll have to win at least one game to have a chance to retain his job, according to league sources, who also said coaching-staff changes are in the mail regardless, particularly on the offensive side.

OK, let me guess, if you beat the Saints you can keep your job!

That's their jealous pattern of late. This sounds like a real hot organizational mess.

Sounds like the Glaziers are going REAL CHEAP! Wow, that should attract a top named, top dollar coach right?

To be fair, the job sucks. Being in the same division with the SAINTS and the Falcons, and the never-really-terrible Panthers, it's almost an insurmountable battle to have a truly winning team there. Remember they had 10 wins a couple years ago and didn't get into the postseason. It's kind of awesome in a way, if you see it for what it is -- our fabulous SAINTS and Sean Payton are a big part of why the fans are staying away from the games there in Tampa. Why bother being a Bucs fan when you know the Saints are going to always be better than you until Brees and Payton are gone? Raheem is not a very good coach though. But I have been watching the club's attempts to get the fans to "buy in" to Raheem Morris and Josh Freeman. It's been a lot of really hollow PR, and now everyone sorta knows it.

Remember when Jim McKay was coach, and they were so bad, he wanted to have nothing to do with the players or the rest of the staff? He just went in his office all day and closed the door, ignored everyone, let the assistants run everything, and then showed up on the sidelines on Sundays dressed like he was going golfing.
