Don't get me wrong, I KNOW the Saints aren't the only team that tries to intentionally hurt opposing QBs, or other players in general.

Shoot, do you remember when Carson Palmer got injured by that Steelers' DL who went straight for his knees. That was pretty damn cheap. It happens all the time. I think why the Favre ordeal stuck out is because America was watching a living football legend overachieving (given his age). Yeah, he was a media darling. Heck, I used to hate the guy when we played in the NFC Central, and would love seeing Sapp hit him like every other play.

But, in his later years, I rooted for the guy. What he was accomplishing was history in the making. And, I think that led me and others to feel like he was being targeted.

Also, having Will Smiith on your D-line definitely makes matter like this worse. That is one dirty ass player. Off topic a bit....sorry.

Granted, if it was the Bucs instead of the Saints in that NFCCG and they were doing what NO was doing, and it led to a SB win, I would not be upset in the least. That's what fandom does to someone. It makes an otherwise rational person a hypocrite.

Regardless, you all have your ring. Be extremely grateful for that.

Oh, and **** the Steelers. I hate that team with a passion. Only dumbass Steeler fans would cheer when their QB got sacked.

I was disgusted with Sapp for that. You wanna play nasty....that's fine. But, I believe there is a difference between nasty and cheap.

What Sapp did was cheap and the Warner ordeal was cheap, too.

You can kinda liken it to laying out a defenseless punter. Is it legal? Yes. Is it dirty and cheap? Yes.

I think the above should fall under a sportsmanship sort of doctrine, if you will.

There is an NFL rule that if the QB isn't trying to participate in the play, he is a defenseless player and can't be blocked.

If he is trying to participate in the play, then he's is 100% eligible to be hit just as hard as anyone else on the offense. Its called football. Tampa Bay used to know what that meant.

Do you want to just put buccaneer-orange skirts on QB's so no one hits them ever?
