The Saints won a Super Bowl?
HELLS YEAH WE DID! It’s still a little difficult to comprehend.
I remember watching a game back 2005 at Tiger stadium and even though we sucked,I still had fun! Thats how it was growing up for me in the 90’s,we always watched the Saints play even though they lost 90% of the time and most of the times in the last quarter because of stooooopid mistakes, lol. Fast forward to 2006 BIG changes. A new head coach,a new QB,and we got the second overall draft pick! I remember watching the draft and being flabbergasted when the Texans picked Mario Williams. In the end though I think they made the best decision but I’m not down playing Reggie’s contribution to our success either but I do think Mario Williams did a little more for the Texans than Reggie ever did for us,especially in the clutch. Then Monday Night Football the Dirty Birds vs the Saints. A lot of people point to that blocked punt as the most significant play for our franchised. I think in the end it really is because this is when every thing came into fruition. Rarely does a few people come together and accomplish something great. When I think of the the way a few new guys came together and just harmonized so well with each other I think of great bands like the Beatles and how 4 guys came together to make magic. To me its the same with Saints. Mickey Loomis,Sean Payton, and Drew Brees has come together with one focus,to win! In 2009 thats what they did! Yeah we won a super bowl and no matter how much BS the media tries to throw at us they can never take that away! They can never take this away Or this Or Or My house literally shook with everyone screaming and jumping when Porter sealed the game! Good memories and Goodell,ESPN,and the other so called analyst can never take that away! Fast forward to 2012...first team to win a Super Bowl at home? Who Dat! |
