Football is the ultimate team game, and I didn't mean to imply that the Bills going to 4 straight Super Bowls was solely due to Kelly or Marino's lack of multiple Super Bowl appearance's was his.

I agree that both are elite QBs, but I have to give the nod to Kelly. It is hard enough for a team to get to its 1st Super Bowl, look at your Lions for example. But I would have to give the nod to the QB that got to 4 straight Super Bowls over a QB that only got to one.

Although I do believe that if Stafford stays healthy and the team can get the off-field player issues under control, the Lions will be the next team to make its Super Bowl debut.

... I can respect that because there's valid argument for both and it's one of those things that'll never be decided ... and you did kinda' rabbit-punch me with the Lions comparison,

... just kidding ... I'm cautiously optimistic about Detroit's chances, they have the injury issues, the maturity issues, the suspension issues and a few other things to work through, but yeah, among the teams that have never made it to the show, I like our chances at being next,

Kelly's 4 SB appearances had a lot to do with the talent surrounding him (Lofton, Reed, Thomas) and a very good defense. Marino had some good WR's (Clayton, Duper) but no elite runner, nor the defensive support.

Kelly with the 4 consecutive Superbowl apperances, and Marino with passing record that nobody thought would ever be broken...until last year, in my opinion puts them neck and neck. I did love to watch Kelly play back then. He's one of my all time favorite football players.
