Dan Marino

this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; Kelly's 4 SB appearances had a lot to do with the talent surrounding him (Lofton, Reed, Thomas) and a very good defense. Marino had some good WR's (Clayton, Duper) but no elite runner, nor the defensive support. Originally Posted by ...

Heck, we FINALLY got ours after YEARS of heartbreak. If anybody knows how it feels to be the Lions, it's Saints fans!

Kelly with the 4 consecutive Superbowl apperances, and Marino with passing record that nobody thought would ever be broken...until last year, in my opinion puts them neck and neck. I did love to watch Kelly play back then. He's one of my all time favorite football players.

Consider this ... what would Buffalo's SuperBowl record be today had Dan Marino/Jim Kelly traded places? I'd imagine Buffalo would probably have won 2 or 3 of those games and I still don't think Miami would have advanced past Buffalo in any of those playoffs, even with Jim Kelly at the helm.

Both were elite QB's and deserving of a SB ring, but if we're going to debate it, I'm going with Marino.

What's Jim Kelly doing these days anyway? Marino has his commercials & the Ace Ventura movie, you never see Jim Kelly ... must have invested his money wisely, guys like that usually do, .

Looks like he stays pretty busy.

... or is it because he looks like David Hasselhoff? I heard Hasselhoff is a most popular star over in Germany, ... j/k, I agree with you on him being legend.
