BUCS CUT wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe

In somewhat of a surprise move, they cut wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe.

On the surface, that might not seem a shock, since he was a sixth-round pick by the Bengals in 2010. But he also led the Bucs with six touchdowns last year.

The Bucs signed Vincent Jackson in hopes he might lead the way, and with Mike Williams, Arrelious Benn, they think they have a good group of young players.

They traded away starting DT Brian Price as well.

Dezmon Briscoe failed his conditioning test prior to being waived by the Bucs, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

New coach Greg Schiano's conditioning test includes running 16 110-yard dashes in a predetermined amount of time. Briscoe didn't meet the standard for wide receivers, and also failed to show for voluntary offseason workouts this spring. He'll hit the open market with some baggage.

Trying to make it like a college program. I give him 2-3 years MAX before he is canned.
