I don't understand the logic of the poster. He says this is proof positive that the coordinator needed to be changed, that they need to change to more no huddle and that Ryan needs to be given more control.

Wouldn't that be exactly the opposite, the falcons lead the league in something positive and that's evidence that the coordinator, offensive scheme and Quarterback style responsible for the positive stat, need to be replaced?!?

That just doesn't make any sense.

Well what I know of the old Coordinator in Atlanta, they had some real nice schemes and plays drawn up, HOWEVER.

All of that lasted for about a quarter in which they ran out of schemes, plans, plays, whatever it was and it all just went to the same ole ****. You see that last 2-3 years in just about every game they played in, they kept the game close, tied, or was winning, later in the 2nd quarter or in the 2nd half, it went sour real quick where they would get beat. It was as if their playbook had about 20 real good plays in it, once they got to the end of the book, hope for the best.

I would venture to say while they led the Saints in 1st possession points, I wonder where Atlanta ranked as it relates to say........3rd quarter or 4th quarter points scored?

Looking at the Baltimore game, it probably changed none even with switching the coordinator.

(tear drop rolls down my cheek) ah, I remember those days fondly, when we used to console ourselves with "oh, but The Saints lead the ____ in _____".

I don't remember-- did they score that safety against the Giants on their first possession?
