OK Fine, 0-4, But The Ball is Rolling Downhill
I could get upset and think "Ain'ts" again. But I'm not going there. Here is what I think--this may be the best damn 0-4 team in history. I fully think it is possible for this team to start winning, and go 12-4. I know that seems improbable, but I think it quite possible.
Add to that, there seems to be a rather milquetoast performance in the middle, so there are plenty of teams with some steady winning, we could climb up above, quite quickly. I thought the Defense looked much better, against a great team, and I think the offense is about 80 percent and climbing. Next week I think we're going to see 90 percent. I still think we're giving up on the run game too soon--maybe we should try a wider array of plays, and we need to figure out why they seem to be busting all the screen plays NO was so famous for last year, perhaps develop a few more plays for running, other than straight up the middle, as that ain't workin' fer sure. And come on, you try one or two, then you just stop? I'd rather have seen six attempts at running the ball, especially when they were on the one yard-line, than continual passes. Still, like I said, today instead of feeling gloomy, I feel encouraged, like the ball has finally started rolling downhill, showing some inertia, picking up steam. We just need to crack that win. |

We may be the best 0-4 team. But we are still an 0-4 team.
