Re: KCC-Eric W., scolding their fans on Cassel
I can recall when Saints fans cheered when Wade Wilson went down with an injury on Monday Night in 1993 because he wasn't, what we thought, was a legit replacement for Bobby Hebert and they wanted Steve Walsh in at QB over Wilson. But what happened in KC was far worse that what happened in New Orleans in '93....

I forgot about the Wade Wilson incident until reading this thread! Now you sent me flashing back to the awesome Mora post game press conference.
I will always love that crazy coot. |

Re: KCC-Eric W., scolding their fans on Cassel
I do remember one game where there was a player for the other team who was injured and down on the field, and they all of a sudden out of nowhere started running the dancing McDonalds french fries cartoon thing on the big screens, and all these people all over the Dome were cheering wildly... I felt really terrible for the poor guy on the ground, who probably didn't know what the hell was going on.

Me too. I've always thought the Saints should retain his services just for post game interviews. And he was 100% correct. Cheering for an injury is one of the most classless things a fan can do regardless of who's team the injured player is on. |
