That's what happens when you decide to turn your offensive line coach into the defensive coordinator. That experiment lasted a couple of years too long.

Just WOW!

12th ranged D, 12th in PPG allowed, 4th in league in 3rd down conversions stopped.... and they let the DC go?

Just maybe it has something to do with Vics 9 fumbles, 8 interceptions, having a QB rating of 77.7 and a completion % of 58.9?

Week 6 and Vick has turned the ball over 14 times.

Rankings are all fine and dandy but Castillo lost control of his players a long time ago. If you can't stop teams when it counts the most, those rankings are meaningless. They also had the same rankings the past handful of seasons prior to Castillo. Numbers aren't everything.

When you keep teams to an average of less than 21 points per game, its is an important defensive stat. I agree placement may be moot, but less than 1 TD per qtr is something we would give a left acorn for. Their defense may be having issues, their offense is the problem.. namely Vicks ball handling and declining QB skills.

I am curious as to what a new DC mid season will do for them the rest of the season.

Reid needs to control his locker room.

Wow... I could honestly see Reid getting fired if there isn't an immediate improvement in the form of consistent wins. This stinks of someone trying to cover their backside rather than address the problem... such as the 100+ million dollar QB who has been responsible with around twice as many turnovers as touchdowns on an offense with all-pro talent.

I have a friend who is a big Eagles fan, it's in his family. He is "normal" and an okay dude but his relatives and in-laws are all those classic, thick-necked, flat-headed, goon diehard Eagles fans with big Cro Magnon foreheads yelling at the TV all the time.

So I kinda keep up with the Eagles team, to be able to talk smack with my friend, and I did stop by an Eagles forum a couple of times to lurk over the past couple years and they seemed to really hate this guy.
