Buccaneers place All-Pro guard Nicks (toe) on IR

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed guard Carl Nicks, an All-Pro last season, on injured reserve.

They also put tight end Danny Noble on IR on Tuesday and elevated guard Roger Allen to the active roster from the practice squad.

Nicks, an All-Pro with the Saints in 2011 before signing with the Bucs as a free agent, will require surgery on his left foot to repair a toe problem. He has started all seven games with the Buccaneers and played in all 71 of his team's games since entering the league in 2008, including 68 consecutive starts.

Carl probably could give two ****s about getting IR'd. He got his $$, hope he's happy at 2-6. Still wish he never would've left

Hmmmm? A toe injury? I'm surprised the injury report didn't say "vagina" or "butt hurt" after having "the game of his life" against the Saints. More like getting taken to school by a rookie defensive tackle.
