Buccaneers deal CB Talib to Patriots

The Tampa Buccaneers traded troubled cornerback Aqib Talib to the New England Patriots, the team announced at the NFL trading deadline on Thursday.

The Bucs also sent one of their two seventh-round picks in the 2013 draft to the Pats in the deal. In exchange, Tampa received a fourth-round selection.

We should have made a move like this, I know it's difficult when the GM's gone but talib comes in and would have made a difference, if he messes up you cut him simple as

Tampa would never had traded Talib to the Saints, so it's pointless to argue whether the Saints' front office should've tried to make this deal happen - and who knows, maybe they did?

Nevertheless, it would've been nice to see them make a move of some kind, but I guess the right deal just wasn't there, and I'm happy that they didn't trade away any of the current draft picks the Saints have.

We are already thin at picks. We have nothing left to barter with even if it was an option.

Well.... he cant hurt the perpetually suspect pats secondary, and at a good price. Theyll only get rid of him at his first wrong move, and make deals in the draft to somehow recoup their picks spent on him
