this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; They can stop the run and now can stop the pass. No question I think we need Graham more than ever because Revis did not cover tight ends....

How do we beat the bucs now?
They can stop the run and now can stop the pass. No question I think we need Graham more than ever because Revis did not cover tight ends.

Re: How do we beat the bucs now?
So they trade for Revis and suddenly they can shut down the passing game too? They had 26 total team sacks last season and one Revis isn't going to stop our multi dimensional passing game.
You should be ashamed of yourself being afraid of the Buccaneers. We've had the single most important acquisition this offseason. His name is Sean Payton. If anyone should be afraid of anybody, they should be afraid of game planning against the New Orleans Saints. No one has any idea how Revis will perform after his surgery and a change in team and scheme could very well affect him a great deal. Look how Nnamdi performed after he left the Raiders. Save the worries... look forward to the season. |

Re: How do we beat the bucs now?
I am not afraid of the bucs. I just remember 2009 week 4. Brees got no TDs against the jets. Then again, defensive teams mean more pressure on their qbs. Big Ben, Flacco, Schaub, Eli have not had it easy and that has to be that because their defenses are good.

Ummm, the Bucs don't have Revis yet. It's still just speculation that the Bucs are interested.

Re: How do we beat the bucs now?
Saints swept the Yucs last year with our historically bad defense, including a 41-0 shut-out.
I am as worried about the Yucs as a Great White Shark is of being bitten by a guppy! |

Re: How do we beat the bucs now?
Yes we did shut them out last year. Though that team has given us more problems than our other two rivals as a whole. It took us four seasons before finally sweeping them after 07. WE have swept Atl every other year, we swept Carolina two straight years before this past year being swept. And hearing Gamble is retiring and knowing if Carolina doesnt turn things around, we could sweep them again. TB has been our biggest thorn of the three rivals. We do blow them out one game a year so the other game could be close and interesting. I guess I am just freaking out on how they would play us if they were to win other games outside division.
