True, a 1-year contract like the one you proposed could be really good for him financially, since the market was/is flooded with quality CBs this offseason his market value wasn't/isn't as high as it could be f.e. next offseason.

Look at his stats... Help me understand why he is so stellar in so many peoples eyes. if he is not an upgrade to Patrick Robinson why do we want him?

A cornerback is measured on the following correct?

Passes Defended
Interceptions
Possibly sacks?

Patrick Robinson Stats - New Orleans Saints - ESPN

2012 CB rankings
Advanced NFL Stats Player Statistics
Greer and Robinson rank higher

2011 CB rankings
Porter, Robinson and Greer ranked higher

Nnamdi doesn't even make the list but played 14 games
Porter and greer both on the list

I must be missing something. For a first round draft pick his play seems underwhelming.
