NFL won't expand playoffs in 2013

Shortening preseason in half would is the only one I'd be good with.
Expanding the post-season is an Aweful idea.
Going to 18 games regular season - too much.

1/2 the league makes the playoffs... Competition????

In what other sport does 1/2 of an entire league make the playoffs? There are already heated debates about 8-8 or losing record teams getting into the playoff's.

Adding 4 teams would have put the 7-8-1 Rams in the Playoffs for 2013.
The 8-8 Raiders in 2010 would have made the playoffs.

Next they will be giving out little trophy's for 16th place.

Hockey ... used to be so bad in the '70s/'80s, before they expanded, all but two or three teams in the entire NHL made it into the postseason ... of course, I know that interesting, insignificant piece of sports trivia because that was the "DeadWings" era of which Detroit was always one of the few teams never in the postseason ... <sigh> ... four Stanley Cups since then & you'd think I wouldn't be bitter,

So hockey playoffs are similar to an NFL regular season bi-week? All but 2 teams playing.... LOL

Hell, just start the "playoffs" at the beginning of the season. The two teams with the best records play in the championship game! Even better, let the sports writers and coaches vote on who they think is the best team!! We could have a Poll!!! Yeah that's it A Poll!!! College goes to a playoff system finally and the NFL goes to a Poll!!! Priceless!!
