this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; Bucs reportedly willing to give up first rounder for Revis We wrote about the potential Darrelle Revis trade earlier Thursday, opining that a deal still looks rather likely to happen. We feel a lot better about that prediction after reading ...

Revis to Bucs deal "likely to happen" according to Peter King
First AND second? Whoa. These Bucs are reaching. A lot of money to throw around, a lot of desperate moves. I have serious doubts that the Bucs will be that much better even if they land Revis. He is a headache. It seems like every year he holds out for more money. |

I dont think Revis is going to put them in battle for the Division by a long shot.
If they some how grabbed a vet QB, they could possibly do something. |

I would never give up a 1st and a 2nd rounder for Revis, because he'll be asking for a lot of money in a year's time or immediately if they negotiate a new contract with him.
I just don't see him as valuable as that. |

+1. This is a HUGE gamble by the Bucs and if I was a betting man I would say the Bucs will lose in the long run (assuming he signs). Like I said in a previous thread, Revis is a DIVA and never plays out a contract. This just appears to be a possible desperate move.

Stupid, stupid decision to mortgage your future on a CB nearing 30 and coming off of a torn ACL. With that being said, I hope it happens... It'd just be one team in our division that we know won't be competitive for a long time.

"How's that F/A cornerback signing from last season working out for you, Tampa Bay?"
This is gonna' be just another "Eric Wright" signing (on steroids) for the Bucs and will undoubtedly blow up in their faces ... again, . They sure know how to pick 'em, eh? |

Poor management gets anyone.
Good management gets the right ones. |
