Malcolm Jenkins: I won’t react to the draft like Reggie Bush did | ProFootballTalk
Two years ago, when the Saints spent their first-round pick on running back Mark Ingram, Reggie Bush saw the writing on the wall and tweeted, “It’s been fun, New Orleans.” Sure enough, Bush was traded to Miami before training camp. Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins says Bush created an uncomfortable workplace with the way he reacted to the Ingram pick. “It makes it an awkward situation in the locker room,” Jenkins told the Advocate. As a result, Jenkins has vowed not to react the same way as Bush did, now that the Saints have used this year’s first-round pick on another safety, Kenny Vaccaro. Jenkins has already tweeted a welcoming message to Vaccaro, and he says he’ll handle himself differently than Bush did in 2011. “If you kind of look back at history, you see when we drafted Mark Ingram, how Reggie handled it . . . it was kind of the opposite,” Jenkins said. In fairness to Bush, the situations aren’t exactly the same — Jenkins is likely to remain in New Orleans, while Bush knew he was likely on the way out. But Jenkins is handling the arrival of Vaccaro the right way. |

Vaccaro just might make Jenkins better. I doubt it but it could happen.

I still like Jenkins and I dont think that half of the stuff he gets blamed for is his fault. I think it was coaching more than anything and SP is going to proove me right. WHODAT
