Fullback Vonta Leach, Ravens part ways
Fullback Vonta Leach confirmed via Twitter Monday night that he and the Baltimore Ravens have decided to part ways, following speculation that the Ravens were looking to either trade or release him.
“Thank[s] @ravens organization for a great two years,” Leach tweeted. ”I came here and did what we set out to do and that’s win the Super Bowl. My time here is up but what we accomplished, we will be forever linked. Thank the fans for accepting me and my family to [Baltimore].” It was unclear whether the Ravens had officially released Leach on Monday night. The Baltimore Sun reported earlier Monday that the Ravens were looking to trade Leach within the next day. If they were unsuccessful, they planned to release him outright. The two sides were unable to work out a compromise that would have reduced Leach’s $3 million base salary, despite Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome and vice president of football administration Pat Moriarty “aggressively attempt[ing]” to do so, according to the report. With Leach gone, the Ravens are expected to start fourth-round draft pick Kyle Juszczyk at fullback. Juszczyk is more of a versatile threat in the passing game than Leach, who served primarily as a blocking fullback for star running back Ray Rice. Juszczyk caught 125 career passes at Harvard for 1,576 yards and 22 touchdowns Fullback Vonta Leach, Ravens part*ways | SI Wire |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

I wouldn't mind signing Leach. One of the best FBs in football. We do have a really good FB in Collins though.
