This is high profile, the DA is going to tread carefully.

He is going to take a hit before it is all over for a minimum of obstruction of justice, and interfering with an investigation. He destroyed his home security system and his cell phone when asked to furnish.

Re: Lawsuit alleges Aaron Hernandez shot man in Florida

Arrested now. It was 8:45 AM EST.
He has been taken into custody. All those big guys in suits, you know the FBI ones, went to pick him up.
See NFL Network tonight.
Story still developing.
This trash is a goner for good.

Now,interesting, NFL Net is talking about the new collective bargaining things whereas if a player is in legal trouble like, the team has ways to financial protect themsevles from paying these guys.
Correct me someone. I am getting , I think , part of this story right. I just turned it on.
Good for the NFL teams there. That is fair for them. I agree with that.

Patriots waived TE Aaron Hernandez.

The Patriots clearly have no faith that Hernandez will be exonerated following his Wednesday morning arrest. They're willing to eat a ton of money in bonuses and guaranteed base salaries, and will be facing roughly $10 million in dead money against the salary cap over the next two seasons. The Pats are also left with perhaps the weakest group of pass-catchers in the entire NFL. Their statement: "A young man was murdered last week and we extend our sympathies to the family and friends who mourn his loss. Words cannot express the disappointment we feel knowing that one of our players was arrested as a result of this investigation. We realize that law enforcement investigations into this matter are ongoing. We support their efforts and respect the process. At this time, we believe this transaction is simply the right thing to do." Hernandez is now subject to waivers, meaning any team can submit a claim by 4 p.m. Thursday. We'd be shocked if anyone does.

I'm surprised there's no language in these contracts to protect teams from certain situations.

Smoking pot vs. murder

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

I'd let him be someone elses headache. We've had enough distractions this past year to last a decade.

Re: Lawsuit alleges Aaron Hernandez shot man in Florida

I dont know enough about what happened to comment on the crime but are you not innocent until proven guilty?

Surely they will be able to void the contract in court, the man if convicted will not be able to do what he is contracted to do.

Plus its the patriots, commissar will burn the contract and claim it has wording alloing them to terminate either that or he will give them cap relief and probably a nice high compensatory pick in next years draft
