PFT’s Free Agent Hot 100 down to four unsigned players
this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; What LB position did Nick Barnett play in the 3-4? If he could play the Sam position I could see adding him... Right now that position is just Martez and Chase Thomas. I have faith in those two, but maybe ...

What LB position did Nick Barnett play in the 3-4? If he could play the Sam position I could see adding him... Right now that position is just Martez and Chase Thomas. I have faith in those two, but maybe a little more depth and experience would be good.

He's best suited at ILB in a 3-4 right now. He's a major liability at OLB. He has lost a step at his age (maybe due to a major knee injury a few years ago). He allowed a 130 QB Rating when he was passed on last year. Yuk. We have guys on our roster already that can, at the very least, give what he can give. I'll take a pass on him.
