Negotiations break off over land for new Falcons stadium
The Atlanta Falcons new stadium plans have hit a snag that has the whole project shifting course.
According to Tim Tucker of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority officially terminated negotiations with Mount Vernon Baptist Church to acquire the land from the church needed to construct the new stadium. The church officially rejected the last offer of $6,2 million from the GWCCA. Plans for the new stadium required the acquisition from both Mount Vernon Baptist Church and Friendship Baptist Church to construct the new stadium at the preferred site to the south of the Georgia Dome. Negotiations with Friendship Baptist and the city of Atlanta had also been somewhat difficult. However, per the report, the chairman of the church’s board of trustees thought they were “really close” to a deal for their property. The plans faced a deadline of August 1 to acquire the land necessary from the churches before an option allowed the alternate site north of the Georgia Dome to be considered. The Falcons exercised that option to now begin a feasibility study of the alternate site. Negotiations break off over land for new Falcons stadium | ProFootballTalk |

Come on now, would you tithe for the Falcons? ... and if Meg Ryan's new contract is any indication, I don't even think the Falcons would tithe for the Falcons, .

The church has faith in the Lord.... No faith in the Falcons.

They'll move the Falcons to L.A. by 2015 - BOOK IT!
Too many commuters in Atl to support the team. Once they gave a multi million dollar contract to their fraud of a QB, the churches wanted more to endure the upcoming suffering. |
