Jay Glazer is reporting that Texans DE Antonio Smith swung his helmet at Dolphins G Richie Incognito. He posted the video on twitter, which is funny since it happens right in front of an official. I watched it on Fox Football Daily and the NFL better suspend him since the commisioner is all about "player safety" now

These type of suspensions need to be without pay. Kind of pointless if he's still collecting a paycheck.

That would be a pretty serious offense had it been on the streets. I'd say a 6-8 week ban should be proper.

This kinda' reminds me of the infamous Ndamukong Suh 'stomp' incident ... as a defensive lineman, you have to realize an offensive lineman is gonna' do whatever it takes to get you off your game, ie untie your laces, unneccessarily lay on you, stick his hands in your facemask, grab a fistfull of jersey, et ... and you better hope you land on top in the pile ... that's just what offensive lineman do ... instead of losing your cool, you gotta' just come out and beat him on the next play ... used to be easier before they outlawed hand/forearm shivers, but hey, that's today's game, .

Lmao! He almost KO'd him with his own helmet! 1 game suspension. 6 games if it landed. I like the savagery of the Texans. I want us to be like that.....they'll probably suspend our coaches again though.

My solution to slowing down (because you will never stop) cheap shots is very simple. If a flagrant foul results in the injury to a player, the player inflicting the injury will be barred from the field (without pay) until the injured player is able to play again, regardless if it's one game, one month, one season or a career.

This may get the message to people like Suh. I'll alway remember to cheap shot that Charles Martin took on Jim McMahon that ended his 1986 season. Martin got a two game suspension, wow.
