Ray Lewis is a conspiracy theorist?

Making sense has never been the strength of Ray Lewis’ oration game, but now the retired Baltimore Ravens linebacker is careening past motivational nonsense and into the realm of the conspiracy theory.

Remember when the lights went out during Super Bowl XLVII? Lewis says that was no accident.

"I'm not gonna accuse nobody of nothing — because I don't know facts," Lewis says on an upcoming installment of NFL Films’ "America’s Game" series. "But you're a zillion-dollar company, and your lights go out? No. (Laughs) No way.

"Now listen, if you grew up like I grew up — and you grew up in a household like I grew up — then sometimes your lights might go out, because times get hard. I understand that. But you cannot tell me somebody wasn't sitting there and when they say, 'The Ravens (are) about to blow them out. Man, we better do something.' . . . That's a huge shift in any game, in all seriousness. And as you see how huge it was because it let them right back in the game."

As with all conspiracy theories, the attendant circumstances did seem to fall into a convenient narrative. At the time of the blackout, the Ravens were beating the San Francisco 49ers by 22 points. Somebody or something needed to stop the Ravens’ momentum or the big game was going to be a big dud. So then, boom, the lights go out and guess what? The 49ers got back in it. All the way back.

Baltimore won 34-31, and Lewis got his second Super Bowl ring. At this point, though, what he could really use is a Zapruder film.

Your team should have played better when the lights came back on, maybe then the 49ers wouldnt have been able to come back and make it a one score game

Fact: Entergy is the company that was responsible for power transmission to the Superdome; Ray, do your homework, ask your cousins in New Orleans East and they'll tell you what that joke is all about...

Fact: You were playing a team equal, maybe even better, in talent than yours and you and your team started tearing tape off and celebrating a little too early...

Fact: You will probably be the first former NFL player of such notoriety to qualify for a "crazy check" which I'm still amazed, ashamed exists and is issued...

Beyonce > Entergy

Entergy < competent

Superdome < world class facility (sorry to say, but it's true)

No conspiracy.

I told everyone in Wisconsin that the Saint Nation embarked on the great mind over matter experiment or operation "Go to Hell Goddell".

This was a collective effort sprinkled with GrisGris, prayer, chicken wings and beer at a set moment in time. We are Saints. How can anyone question the power of prayer?

The sign on the building may say, MB Superdome, however, since September 25, 2006 - we own this house, that dance belonged to US.

You don't mess with what you can't see or quantify.

Ray Lewis needs to recognize we were not punishing his team. In fact, I would guess that WE pulled for the Ravens. I was.

No conspiracy.

Lewis is suffering from spot light withdrawal. My guess is that we will see him
Next to Dion/Irvin soon..... All cut from the same cloth.

There are conspiracy theories, and then there are conspiracy theories, but I will say, when gambling is involved, both legal and illegal, you just never know..
