Pats up next
Warning the Patriots are one of the best bounce back teams in the NFL. We are again going to face one of the better defenses in the NFL on their turf.
Now we are entering the really hard part of the schedule. The Pats will come up with probably the best defense scheme to slow the saints down of any team so far. we are 5 - 0 and there is nothing better for the Pats to do than hang that first loss on us. This should be a slug fest. |
Re: Pats up next
It's gonna be tough, and it's gonna be ugly, but we've been here before.

Re: Pats up next
Well out of the Bears or the Pats, I'm good with beating the Bears. The Pats are not all that, I like our chances.
|
Re: Pats up next
I think that we are a better team. However, I have an unhealthy fear of the Patriots and know they are really going to be ready to kill after losing to Cincy like that. Hence, I will be stocking up on extra booze for this game. A fan's got to be prepared.
|
Re: Pats up next
I thought we was going to lose to the Bears for the fact they were coming off a loss the previous week. IMO they put up much more of a fight at 3-1 than they would of had they been 4-0.
We may see the same thing with the Patriots next week as well. |
Re: Pats up next
I will make this easy. I worry about teams where there are clear match-up issues.
Payton > Belichick Saints Defense > Patriots Offense (Brady is suckin azz this season) Saints Offense > Patriots Defense (Wilfork is out for the season, and once you put Talib on Graham the rest open up.) Foxborough has Turf Sproles and PT will have fast footing. Sunday weather 60F I do not see one match up issue worth concern. I have no only emotionally justified worries for Sunday. |
Re: Pats up next
Us not at home
Gronk return It's gonna be a gd one. Long as we stop Brady like cin we should have no problemos. Plus Bunkley/Walker possible return. Have we been using J.Rich? If not we should cut him and shop a olineman. |

Had he been active with just minimal use yesterday I might think he would get full play. He was Out. TE Rob Gronkowski inactive again for Patriots, Bengals missing top CB Leon Hall | Fox News |
Re: Pats up next
So what if Gronk is coming back, just let Vaccaro target the back or forearm. I have yet to see anything about the Pats that should make me afraid of them. Sure it might be a close game but I just don't see how the Saints don't leave chowderland 6-0

Re: Pats up next
The only thing that worries me about the Pats is IF their WRs ever decide to catch the ball instead of constantly dropping it then they could make a game stressful. Until that happens....meh.

TEs do not play each other so the outcome in regards to performance is moot. If he were a CB or a S then it would be different. |

Jimmy will shatter all TE and Gronkowski records this season provided he stays healthy.
Just to pour salt and vinegar on a Patriots wound. Brady dropped his TD streak so there is no need to rush Gronk back for even that. :) |
Re: Pats up next
Honestly no worries here. The pats are reeling. We have that 09 swag and it doesn't stop this week. Guys will be fired up to head into bye undefeated.
|
Re: Pats up next
Heading into the bye week undefeated.. That'll feel good.
|
Re: Pats up next
The Pats don't have the firepower they are used to having. The 2 TE offense blew up in their face. Ours didn't. Oak has it right. We play our game and they will lose.
|
Re: Pats up next
I'm eager to see the line on this game. I wouldn't be surprised if it's even.
|
Re: Pats up next
Best thing about this game is that it is national game of the week...which means it will be televised up here in podunk Delaware.
And the icing on the cake? Monday is a holiday, which means I must partake in much brew during the game; I have no excuse! I don't think this game will be as close as people think...NE looks like it's stugglin' up there. |

We need a statement game.

2nd straight road game and NE has a great track record of not losing back to back games. Public is all over New Orleans and from a betting standpoint, especially after NE lost a clunker to Cincinnati, NE would be the sharps play. |

And, we showed a boatload of improvement in the run game. But, between the Bears/ Pats, the Pats are the better team. Even the good teams are beginning to show their weaknesses now. Let's just hope, next week, ours are less apparent than the Pats. Oh, and Who Dat!! |
Re: Pats up next
When you're 5-0, every team has a target painted on your back.

Re: Pats up next
Belichek always has a plan.
This is going to be tight. |

Every game is a statement.

Keeping Brady's new streak alive would be cool.... you know, the zilch TD per game stat he just started.

The Pats are missing a lot of weapons but have a great coach.... Sort of the anti-Atlanta.
|
Re: Pats up next
I just checked my "sources" aka the espn ticker on my tv and it looks like gronk will play this weekend. I hope he does as I want our linebackers and secondary to get a good test before the bye.
|
Re: Pats up next
They are in the AFC. As long as we come away with no injuries I wont be too upset if we lose. Im fairly confident that we will pull this one out anyway. Im more worried about the games after the bye.

Gronk will be rusty and still not 100%, if he is we can just put a bounty on him.
