Things to do before the game

this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; I am coming into town for next weekend's game against the Bills. I am staying at the La Quinta Inn in Gretna and I am looking for advice on what I should do before the game. Any suggestions?...

Champions Square, Hall of Fame and get to your seat around 11:45 if you want to be part of the Who Dat Chant before kickoff

Do you recommend driving to champions square or taking a ferry provided there is one. What time should we get to champions square.

You can do either. If you do the Ferry you need to get going with that early just in case. It is public transport.
You can check ferry status always here La DOTD - Ferry Status
Remember, Canal ferry is in Algiers, you'll be in Gretna, an entire neighborhood and distance away. So you'll need a transport to the ferry. Might want to just schedule a cab.

Taking a cab shouldn't be too expensive. Ferry doesn't start running on Sunday until 10:45am, so might want to take a cab if you want to hit Champion Square.

Champion square starts at 9am before a noon game. If I go, I usually get there by 10am. It's probably sparse at 9. So leave your hotel at like 9:15-9:30 to take a cab and be safe and enjoy!
