Re: NFL Considering Negating TDs For Taunting Penalties
Golden Tate showed no class at all for his antics but taking away a TD ? There might be a lot of touchdowns coming back if they implement this next season ...

Why not stop the fans cheering too.
Maybe make it so that when you are down by more than 15 the other teams isnt allowed to score a TD only field goals.I mean we cant have people feeling hurt or a team loose by loads of points. NoFunLeague takes a step closer |

Re: NFL Considering Negating TDs For Taunting Penalties
Thats BS. Just allow a defender to smack him upside the head with a Deacon Jones-like forearm shiver.
Problem solved. And it would be really fun to watch. Deacon Jones on Chad Johnson celebrations: "If I was still playing, I guarantee he'd only do it once." What a badass mutherf'er!!! |

Let the defensive players hit and the offensive players celebrate and it may stay football and not a modified form of flag football.

Re: NFL Considering Negating TDs For Taunting Penalties
I don't have a problem with it if the taunt occurred before the touchdown, as in this case. If a hold happens before the touchdown, it doesn't count. But taunting after the touchdown...no. Touchdown stands.

Re: NFL Considering Negating TDs For Taunting Penalties
If the NFL is going to adopt this college rule, they should also adopt the college overtime system.
NFL overtime games would be a helluva lot more fun/exciting to watch! |

Re: NFL Considering Negating TDs For Taunting Penalties
Is all this BS a result of growing up in a world that never kept score in T-ball games and a ribbon for everyone? Are all these now grown-up babies getting this crap they were denied in childhood out?
Taunting? So what! Or are we protecting hurt feelings? |
