Will Goodell slap the Dolphins with the Saints punishment?
As Saints fans we all know how important it is to 'protect the shield'.
About the only differences between Bountygate & Bullygate is that the league didn't warn the Dolphins and the other being that Bountygate didn't happen and Bullygate did. As Saints fans we know how important it is to 'protect the shield'. The black eye that the Saints supposedly gave to the NFL has healed, but now the Dolphins have given the league a black eye AND a fat lip when it is looked at in the context of how much a problem bullying is, especially in schools. And the racial aspect of this hasn't really gotten a good head of steam yet. |

Re: Will Goodell slap the Dolphins with the Saints punishment?
I don't think you'll ever see another H/C suspended for a season like that again for whatever reason ... it was just Goodell arbitrarily flexing his muscle and sending a message to the league, IMO ... you know, part of a "speak softly, carry a big stick" strategy going forward.
This is all gonna' be viewed under the rules/laws of workplace harassment, IMO and race is not going to be that big an issue, nor should it be in light of the circumstances. The bigger issue, IMO, is the NFL inviting lawyers, the legal process, and everyday/common employment law into the locker room ... they don't mix and it's just another sign the NFL is heading down the path to becoming nothing more than professional wrestling. |

Re: Will Goodell slap the Dolphins with the Saints punishment?
No they will not get the 2012 Saints Treatment, as the 2013 Dolphins do not actually have the kind of team that can make it to this year's Super Bowl, and the Super Bowl ain't in Miami, either, for that feared potential "home game" Super Bowl. C-O-N-spiracy in 2012. Ha...I said "Super Bowl" 3 times in 1 sentence.
