Puff piece written by a Bostonite. The Rolling Stone article revealed that there were serious problems with the Bellichick locker room, obvious warning signs that were missed or overlooked, not just in terms of Aaron Hernandez but with other Patriot players as well. I think there has been a disconnect between the myth of Bellichick from maybe 4-10 years ago, the way he used to be, and the reality of the Patriots now.

The idea that Bellichick and the Patriots organization runs such a tight ship, may have been true at one time, but there is evidence that it's not really true anymore -- the reality as portrayed that Rolling Stone article is very different. The Patriots change in security detail (from working with a network of local state troopers to an in-house security person) was telling.
