The Seahawks Need to Start Faster
First up is the 8-2, probably soon to be 9-2 given that they are facing the Falcons this week, Saints. That matchup is a crucial one with massive playoff seeding implications. The following week the Seahawks will travel to San Francisco for what figures to be a very tough game where they’ll be looking to bury the 49ers as challengers in the NFC West. Both of these games will be difficult and even though the Seahawks have looked good the last couple of weeks there are some things this team stands to improve on if they want to beat quality opponents like the Saints and 49ers
The numbers are both comforting and disturbing. It is great to know that the Seahawks defense can get this offense out of trouble but it’s unfortunate that the offense has been sputtering out of the gate. When the Saints come to town they will be a team that will put up points no matter how good the Seahawks defense is. If the offense doesn’t show up early this team could be in a sizable hole in the hurry. The Seahawks don’t want to play catch-up with the Saints. That’s a tough way to win. The 2013 Seattle Seahawks are a team designed to play with a lead, if they want to beat the Saints and force the road to the Super Bowl to go through Seattle, they need to learn how to seize one. Re: The Seahawks Need to Start Faster
I think we have that problem solved....Percy Harvin. He was directly responsible for 3 touchdowns in 16 plays.
1. Kearse's 44 yard catch leading to a touchdown. 2. 17 yard circus catch on 3rd down extending a drive resulting in a touchdown. 3. 58 yard kickoff return setting up a short field and the resulting touchdown. |

Re: The Seahawks Need to Start Faster
to me I think it's also a matter of adjustment. And just like Peyton Manning himself as good as most coaching staffs are, he sees tendencies and certain coverages and formulates a strategy on subsequent drives and capatilizes on opponents' weaknesses. in my opinion, that explains how the Hawks are so much more dominant in the second half because of their ability to make adjustments and capitalize on what they see. but that still does not excuse the slow start in many games, with actually giving some teams 20+ points head starts.

"The 2013 Seattle Seahawks are a team designed to play with a lead"
Hawks fan here, not trying to talk smack but to correct some of the "opinions" of the hawks. The seahawks are NOT designed to play with a lead, does this dude watch football? The only game we started with more than a 10 point lead we lost that was to the COLTS. In games like Car, TB, STL, Hou we were down by atleast a touchdown and we came back and win those games. What could tell you is that the seahawks weaknesses are good TE's which saints have, and quick slot guys.. |

Re: The Seahawks Need to Start Faster
Hello! I don't mind if Seahawk fans join in here at the black and gold. I'm just wondering what the motivation may be.. I think once you peel back the onion, I think deep down, they are feeling uncomfortable about this game.
