Re: Carl Nicks

Per Garafolo’s report, MRSA isn’t believed to be the direct reason for the continued toe issues. There’s concern that Nicks has nerve damage, which may have been exacerbated by the infection, and the player has reportedly received mixed messages from doctors about his ability to return to the field.
Maybe he had the nerve damage before he left here and that's why it was easy not to pay him the money he wanted

Regardless he isn't worth what the Buccaneers paid him, even in his prime.

He’ll earn $6.5 million in base salary this year and a $6 million reporting bonus. Nicks’ salary will top out at $12.5 million in 2013. His base salaries for 2012 and 2013 are fully guaranteed.

In 2014, Nicks’ salary will drop to $7 million. His salary will be $7.75 million in 2015 and will stay the same in 2016.

Re: Carl Nicks

That's one of those Karma things where had he signed with the Saints he may have played endlessly and finished his carrer here, heatthly and happy. So he decides to go to TB and talk a little smack on the way out, busts up his leg in training camp then ends up with MRSA bacteria infection. I think TB had to eventually fumigate their entire facility.

Smack talk or no smack talk I think it is possible when Tampa dumps him (and they will) he'll get his situation straight and look for another team. The Saints will pick him up at a discounted rate. But that all depends on if he ever works through the toe nerve damage thing.

BACK at blackandgold.net after a long long long time.

People aren't damaged goods.
There is a better way to phrase this statement and it is up to you to correct it.
I am NOT a card carrying member of the PC crowd.
This is a man who may find himself disabled due to an infection.

Seriously? You are now the self-appointed morality police? Are you going to cite anyone who wishes to rip off the head of any opposing QBs? or how about the guy who said that he wants to high-five Tom Brady in the face? And this is bad news for Steve Smith haters

My comment was about Carl Nicks, the player, and 'damaged goods' is an apt description. It is not a judgment on Carl Nicks, the man.

Seriously, why not?
I made it very clear and in your huff to slam me down for calling you out, you missed my statement in which I stated I am not a PC card carrying member.

Where the hell do you get off on equating your first paragraph above to Carl Nicks.

Can you define "APT DESCRIPTION?"
Do you know that you need your large toe to be mobile?

And people are not damaged goods.
A good is a commodity.
You can buy, sell and dispose goods.
Carl is a man.

Merry Christmas.

Re: Carl Nicks

So, you don't carry the PC card, but expect everyone else to?

The original poster 'Wonders if it was worth it'? The next guy says he wasn't worth the money, and the third says it's karma, but you're cool with that? The guy who 'likes' your post wants to hit Brady in the face, but you have a problem with my innocuous assessment that as a player Nicks is damaged? Re-read the last sentence in my original post again
