Niners-Packers
Quite an intriguing matchup,
SF is playing well, with 6 wins since we beat them GB is lucky to be there, but are a different team with Rodgers and Cobb SF won in week 1, and is a 2 point favorite, but probably won't enjoy the weather or crowd much. Whoever wins will be dangerous next round (at Carolina) after we win Sat. If I didn't love the Saints I'd say this was the game of the weekend. Of course the AFC games look like they are really going to blow |
Re: Niners-Packers
There is no telling in the NFC.
|
Re: Niners-Packers
I really want Green Bay to win, but I think San Fran takes it.
San Fran will absolutely destroy Carolina in round two. They won't lay an egg this time. |
Re: Niners-Packers
Yea I think SF is going to blow GB out of the water. Usually that is what happens to teams that "limp" into the playoffs, and that is the best thing you can say about Green Bay.
|
Re: Niners-Packers
Anything could happen. The Packers secondary has enough talent to create turnovers even if they haven't been doing so this year. They have weapons and seem to be blocking well to have Lacy run the ball. They are not favourites but any of the NFC playoffs teams is good enough to put three wins together. The regular season form counts for nothing now.

Re: Niners-Packers
Rogers is rusty, I say 49ers take it
|
Re: Niners-Packers
I'm saying Green Bay all the way. Kaepernick has almost never played in cold weather and it's going to be absolutely brutal weather with a high of 9 degrees and a 20% chance of snow. Kaepernick is going to crumble at Lambeau Field. Crumble I tell you.
|
Re: Niners-Packers
Rodgers was 8-2-1, and now Cobb is back. They might have limped in, but this is still a good team.
Nothing good happens for us if they win, though. If they advance to the next round, we would have to pull for Carolina |

Re: Niners-Packers
Isn't it supposed to be like 4 degrees at game time in Green Bay? Can San Fran survive that?
|
Re: Niners-Packers
Green Bay's defense is bad. If San Fran can muster up a solid game for Kaepernick, I think they take it. That front 7 will be ready for Lacy.

Re: Niners-Packers
Step aside.
At 2100, tonight, we move into the fridged zone. I tried to talk my general manager into parking four tractors and 7 straight trucks in our building - tonight until Monday. Game time Sunday, it is predicted to be 30 below with wind chill. The game starts late. There are no rooms available. Once you get out of the game, if more than half the fan base travels from MKE, you are looking at getting home after Midnight. The traffic will be bump to bumper from Green Bay to Milwaukee. I want an SF win because there is absolutely no way I want to deal with a Packer NFC Championship or SB win. A Packer win means our inbound aircraft with be full of Packer Gear - nose to tail - for at least two miserable weeks Unfortunately, the Packers will win this game. |
Re: Niners-Packers
Currently it is -6 on my front porch. (Faces east.)
It is 0226 am and I certainly don't want to work today but I start at 0300am. Packer still win but they also need to sell more tickets or there will be a blood bath equal to the tea party in Boston, MA. |

Going to be a cold, maybe coldest ever.
Big problem for Harbaugh- refs will have on earmuffs and he'll probably have to keep his never-stop-bit****g mouth covered |

Re: Niners-Packers
I hope they both lose.
|
Re: Niners-Packers
If I was a player for either team, I'd have to strike and force them to play the game at a warmer temperature... I bet even the Packers would be up for changing the venue
|
Re: Niners-Packers
We need to think about 2 weeks from now...
The winner of this game goes to Carolina. At that point we would ask where would we rather play: GB, Carolina, or SF? I think SF is the best of those three, but they are in trouble today. If they win, next week might actually be an easier game |

Re: Niners-Packers
I think it would be best if Green Bay wins, loses to the Panties, while we destroy the Shehawks. Then we destroy the Panties.

Re: Niners-Packers

Re: Niners-Packers
Watching this game, either team can smash Carolina Panthers.
I lovelove the old Saints, these current Saints years , and will lovelove the rebuilding Saints. All that to say is that how SF and GB are playing is how I wish and still have to see our Saints 2013 postseason play and that is a fierce game. Whoever wins in the GB-SF game will win ONLY because the clock will run out. Everytime SF has the ball, they score. Everytime GB has the ball , they score. Answer right back. It is back and forth. Equal in scoring. They both score fairly quickly. Each team has both , its offense and defense, showing up. |
